The President called the meeting to order at 6:33 pm.
Approve minutes - Steve
Motion to approve the minutes from the June 2022 meeting was approved. Steve will post the minutes to the forum for the membership.
Treasurer's Report – Lance
Lance presented the Treasurers Reports for April and May 2022. After discussion, the board approved both reports.
Committee Reports
Event Committee – Bill
Eric Lindeblom – tuna classic.
Eric reported a slight schedule change and several members have volunteered to cook at the event. Board approved our participation.
Benton City Daze.
Sanctioning agreement received after the last meeting and approved via an email vote of the board. Information is posted on the PNWBA website.
Camp Corey – Planning continues. Registrations for Teams and Judges Open.
New competition – Hermiston, OR. Hermiston Fall Fest – BBQs, Brews & More. Fri Oct 9 – Sun Oct 11. KCBS Comp Fri & Sat. PNWBA Comp Sat & Sun $30, 000 prize purse with $15,000 for each competition. Possibility of vending and other earnings potential. Board passed a motion to sanction the PNWBA portion of this comp.
The Board is concerned that the Benton City organizers are not responding to email or phone calls about this event. Doug will follow-up as event rep.
New business
From Pat and JD: Clearwater comps and Feed the Troops. Schedule similar to last year with details upcoming. They are interested in also sponsoring a Summer competition at their facility.
Announcements
The next board meeting will be phone-in meeting on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 6:30 pm.
