Event Organizers and Hosts

Want to make your event stand out? Host a sanctioned BBQ competition with the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association. We will guide you through every step and help you plan a successful, well organized event.

Why Sanction with PNWBA?

A PNWBA sanctioned competition attracts:

o Top BBQ teams from across the Pacific Northwest and beyond
o Certified judges at the local, regional, national, and even international level
o Excitement, strong attendance, and great barbecue for your community

Scheduling Matters

Proper scheduling is one of the most important parts of planning a successful event.

Returning events receive preference to keep their same weekend from the prior year. This helps protect established events and gives teams and judges consistency when planning their season.

If you are a returning organizer and need to change weekends, please contact the PNWBA Events Committee before confirming your new date. We review all sanctioned events, along with other BBQ events in the region, to help avoid conflicts and support strong participation.

If you are planning a new event, you must contact us before finalizing your date. We will review the PNWBA current calendar with you and help identify a weekend that works well within the overall schedule.

We’re Here to Help
