In the fourth quarter of every year the PNWBA conducts the Annual Membership Meeting. One of the main purposes of the meeting is to compile nominations and prepare to conduct elections for 1/2 of the Board of Directors. This year terms will be open for Vice-President, Secretary, and 5 Directors of the Board.
To run for the Board, you can be nominated by someone else or nominate yourself and must be a member in good standing with your dues current when you accept a nomination and throughout your term. Newly elected Members of the Board shall serve a 2-year term starting Jan 2023 till Jan 2025 or until their successors are elected. Members of the Board of the Directors may serve no more than 3 consecutive terms.
Nominations are now open and should be sent to Nominating Committee Chair Jane Biehl at president@pnwba.com. Sent in nominations will be announced and another call will be made during the 2022 Annual Membership Meeting on Nov 11th, 2022. Nominations will remain open for 1 week after the Banquet, then close at 12 midnight Sat Nov 19th, 2022. Elections will be conducted, and results announced during Dec 2022.
The PNWBA is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is managed by a membership elected Board of Directors made up solely of volunteers. The continued success of the PNWBA is the result of participating members and their support of the volunteer Board of Directors.
