Clearwater: Pat suggested that board members solicit sponsors for our annual meeting and competition. He has also been communicating with The Clearwater and they have committed to signing a sanctioning agreement for our comp in November with $15,000 of support. Teams will also be able to sell off samples if desired on Sat afternoon. The Clearwater is also considering a possible sanctioned summer event next year. Similar Veteran’s Day arrangements as last year’s event. Pat asked board and teams to get in touch with your sponsors or those interested to increase prize purse.
Doug recommended that we engage in some 1-day with 1 or 2 protein competitions for areas that don’t have PNWBA comps. Look for new territory, and perhaps team up with a local market. Get people from new areas exposed to the PNWBA and expose PNWBA to new areas. Committee urged to continue working on details regarding locations, scheduling and funds needed and bring those back at a later date.
Motion for Clearwater event to use last year’s rules and go back 2 years for Canadian teams for the PNWBA Championship was passed.
The next board meeting will be phone-in meeting on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 6:30 pm.
