Limit - 12 Judges to start, 2 Table Captains, 3 Volunteers.
We expect there to be more Teams signing up, but we're going to start with 2 tables and expand from there.
The PNWBA is proud to announce the 2026 McKinley Springs BBQ Showdown Competition coming to Prosser, WA. It's a fully sanctioned traditional 4 meat competition. There is a total prize purse of $10,000.
McKinley Springs Winery is a two-day event held on June 12th and June 13th, 2026.
On Friday June 12th, the teams and judges are all encouraged to participate in a potluck starting at 7pm; come and enjoy an evening with the PNWBA family while experiencing the serenity that rolling hills of vineyards can provide. The actual BBQ competition begins on Saturday, June 13th, 2026
The McKinley Springs grounds are large enough to accommodate campers, RVs, and trailers for overnight stays for Judges and Teams.
On Saturday, June 13th, our standard 4-meat + side competition begins.

Please come early to help assist with setup and so you are on site prior to the judges meeting.
Table Captain and Volunteer meeting follows judges meeting.
Reminder - Please refrain from wearing fragrances, colognes, powders, body sprays before coming to the event. It's important that all seated judges be able to smell the food and not other judges.

- Brisket - 2 pm

5:00 pm (or earlier when possible)
Subject to change depending on event processing.
Extra Event Details:
Family friendly event so don't hesitate to bring the family along. No pets.
Event host is open to having teams and judges stay and extra night if they would like to load out on Sunday instead.
Site Utilities:
This location is known to get quite hot at times so you will want to bring your cooler to hold any leftovers. Of course, this means you will need extra ice as well :)
