The President called the meeting to order at 6:34 pm.
Approve minutes - Steve
Motion to approve the minutes from the May 2022 meeting was approved. Steve will post the minutes to the forum for the membership.
Treasurer's Report – Lance
Lance was not able to attend so no financials this meeting.
Committee Reports
Event Committee – Bill
Fairchild Feed the Troops
1st volunteer signed up. Deadline tomorrow for volunteer approval on AFB. Operation BBQ Relief provided $500 to support the event.
Benton City Daze.
Still waiting for sanctioning agreement.
Lilac City BBQ Festival
No one has heard from organizer. Eric Mendel has talked to them before so we will ask him to follow-up.
Camp Corey – Approximately July 17 to open the event for signups. Pat will be the organizer for the camp. 60/40 team sampling on Saturday only. Providing meats from Costco. Entry fee to be increased to approximately $300 to cover meats. Beer/Wine, extreme car show, music, etc. on Saturday. No judging class in scope at this time. Include rooms for teams and judges. People’s choice event on Saturday with cash prizes. $30,000 prize pool paying down 10 places.
No New Sanctioning Applications to discuss
New business
The board passed a motion to eliminate the Limited Services application on our website, but keep it as an option.
Restaurant Depot – PNWBA is a member of it but our membership expired during pandemic. They are trying to get it started again as a membership benefit.
The topic of providing event insurance was discussed and is being investigated.

The next board meeting will be phone-in meeting on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 6:30 pm.
