The President called the meeting held by “Go to Meeting” to order at 6:30 pm.
Discussions
Approve Minutes – Diane
A motion to approve the minutes from the August 2023 meeting was approved. Diane will post the minutes to the forum for the membership.
Financial – Lance
There was no treasurer’s report for August.
Committee Reports:
Events – Bill S.
Camp Korey was a successful event. More public showed up this year. The location of the team set up was an improvement over last year, and there was plenty of power.
Enumclaw was a very well attended event by the public. Many teams ran out of food to sample.
There is a new contest in Sublimity, Oregon for 2024called “Smokin’ in the Canyon.” It would be on Father’s Day weekend.
McKinley Springs Winery is considering having an event at the winery in Alderdale, WA – where the contest used to be held before moving to Prosser.
Lynden, Washington is having a contest at the fairgrounds in conjunction with the April Home and Garden Show. April 12-14. Their application has been submitted for approval.
Training – Karen S.
Christene is trying to have a judging class at the Son’s of Norway in Bothell, WA, sometime mid-February to early April time frame.
Details and logistics of the upcoming judging class at the Clearwater Casino were discussed.
Finance – Lance R.
No Report.
New Business
Jane reminded the BOD committee chairpersons that they need to prepare a report for the annual meeting to be held at the Clearwater Casino on November 10th.
Announcements:
The next meeting will be held by Go To Meeting on October 25th, beginning at 6:30pm and ending at approximately 8:00pm.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Doug at 7:30pm and seconded by Bill. The motion was voted on and approved, and the meeting was adjourned.
